Simple Rustic Bread Recipe: Delicious Bread at Home!
Ingredients:
- 500g all-purpose flour, 10g salt, 7g instant yeast, 350ml lukewarm water
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine flour & salt. In a small bowl, mix instant yeast with lukewarm water until dissolved. Pour yeast mixture into flour mixture and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a towel and let dough rest for 1 hour. After resting, perform a series of "stretch and folds" to improve dough's structure. Cover again & let dough rest for another hour.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F and place an empty baking dish on lower rack.
- Lightly flour your work surface. Shape dough into a round loaf.
- Place dough seam-side down into a floured proofing basket. Cover proofing basket with a towel & let dough proof for about 30 min - 1 hour, or until it rises.
- Remove the preheated baking dish from the oven. Flip the proofed dough onto the baking dish. Score the dough on the top using the bread lame.
- Bake the bread for 25-30 min or until golden brown. Remove it from the oven & let it cool.
