HOW TO MAKE MATCHA TEA AT HOME:

To make a perfect cup of tea for a refreshing healthy morning and a stimulating day, the easiest steps written below must be followed;

  1. Take a ceramic bowl, and a place a small sifter i.e a stainer over the bowl. Now measure the matcha powder and mildly knock the side of the strainer to jiggle the matcha powder into the cup. All the clusters and clumps will be removed and a smoother drink can be attained.
  2. Water taken should be of almost 165 to 180Β°F. It should not be boiling. Use bamboo whisk for acquiring a traditional yummilicious tea. Vigorously stir the tea using crisscross motions to produce a frothy beverage. You can also use a regular mini whisk if bamboo whisk is not easily available. Until the whole powder is dissolved, one should not stop whisking.
  3. The same step can be repeated for using milk instead of water and the modern tools can also be used for making a perfect cup of tea.
  4. Pour the hot milk or water into the latte or tea container. Place a large bamboo spoon just inside the frothing cup to grasp back the fluff. You can pour the milk as much you’d like to pour, not all the milk is necessarily used.
  5. Now scoop the froth and fluff on the topmost of the cup, by using a bamboo spoon gradually. You can place the scooped foam on the latte. Spread the equally through the top of the latte.
  6. Now add agave, honey, maple syrup and sugar if needed and shake it again.
  7. Now to get a refreshing and yummy look garnish you cup to enjoy the taste. Sprinkle the matcha on the top of the froth and drink instantly to avoid its settlement at the bottom of the latte.

Here are the constituents used to make matcha tea;

  • 1Β½ tbsp. (2 grams) matcha powder, 1 tbsp. (15 milliliters) hot water, 1 cup i.e. 240 milliliters of milk (Cow, coconut, almond etc.), 1 tbps. agave, 1 tbps.maple syrup, 1 tbps.honey, 1 tbps.sugar (optional)
  • For baking, normally use 荒穂 is enough. If for Matcha drinking, you need to use ε…«εζœ¬η«‹γ€η™Ύζœ¬η«‹γ€η™ΎδΊŒεζœ¬.
  • There is not much difference between ε…«εζœ¬η«‹γ€η™Ύζœ¬η«‹γ€η™ΎδΊŒεζœ¬. The η™Ύζœ¬η«‹ are more common and the cost is moderate.
  • η™Ύζœ¬η«‹ is recommended for beginners. η™ΎδΊŒεζœ¬ can make a more delicate matcha than ε…«εζœ¬η«‹.

What is Blooming for Bamboo Matcha

  • Our Chasen whisk is created from natural bamboo and subject to natural wear and decline. A healthy Chasen will assure that the natural infusions and essence of your quality Japanese matcha is optimized with each bowl.
  • When you first open a new Chasen, you will notice that the core of the whisk is tight. But once you begin using it, the core will loosen up and enhance the whisking process. This is called β€œblooming”. Which is normal & regular. Strings will becomes more and more straight & Long during long times using.

Follow the steps below to assure that your bamboo Chasen lasts for years. Part-1

CLEAN YOUR CHASEN BEFORE AND AFTER EACH USE

Clean your Chasen before the first use. This simply removes any impurities that may have occurred during packaging and transit and loosens the core. To clean the Chasen use either of the following options:

1.Fill a bowl or Chasen with hot or boiled water and immerse the Chasen tines for about 30 seconds.

2. Hold the Chasen strings under gently running hot or boiled water for a few seconds to remove any residue.

Note: a. lean your Chasen the same way after each use. b. Never leave the Chasen handle soaking in water as it can crack or fray.

ALLOW YOUR CHASEN TO DRY

After you have made your matcha and washed the Chasen, it is imperative that you allow it to dry thoroughly. The best way to dry your Chasen is to rest it on a Chasen holder. If you don't have a Chasen holder, then dry the Chasen by standing it on its handle, never the strings.

Note: If your bamboo Chasen is not properly dried, damp tines can grow mold or splinter due to the natural wood product from which it is made. Additionally, the fragile Chasen strings could become loose or fall out completely and minimize the effectiveness of the whisk.

Proper storage of your Chasen is probably the main way to achieve an optimal life. It is best to store your Chasen the same way you dried it, preferably on a whisk holder. Storing the Chasen on a holder helps to maintain the shape of the bamboo strings and will prevent premature damage, as well.
